GREENCREST worked with the Amethyst leadership team, members of the Amethyst Board and clients to uncover the organization’s brand distinction and unique branding message to the community. An intensive brand discovery session led by GREENCREST was donated to the Center, along with the brand creative, marketing consultation and the creation of a new organization identity.

“The message that Amethyst has for the community is clear,” states GREENCREST president Kelly Borth, a certified brand specialist who facilitated the group through the discovery process. “Amethyst is a community of recovery that focuses on reuniting families in an integrated, family-centered environment to give women and children collective hope,” says Borth. “The organization is a fierce advocate for women’s issues, continuously seeking to change the stigma of addiction.”

“It is our tradition at Amethyst’s “Portraits of Recovery” event to present the ‘Purple Heart Award’ to an organization that has made a significant contribution to our organization and it was unanimous that this honor be awarded to GREENCREST for the in-kind contribution of time, talent and services to Amethyst,” states Amethyst CEO Virginia O’Keefe. O’ Keefe says GREENCREST’s work will contribute to bringing down the stigma that exists in regards to addiction and adds, “We are so fortunate to have people like you (GREENCREST) in the community to support recovery and the women and children of Amethyst.”

Kelly Borth will accept the award on behalf of the GREENCREST team at the “Portraits of Recovery” event. “We are honored and humbled to receive this award from an organization that works tirelessly to change women’s and children’s lives for the better.”

Amethyst’s Portraits of Recovery event is an opportunity to celebrate lives of women who have chosen to live a life of recovery. This year’s event will be held Friday, April 8 at Columbus’ COSI, 11:30 a.m.—1:00 p.m.

GREENCREST is pleased to announce being honored as an Outstanding Corporate Volunteer for its dedication and in-kind donations to New Directions Career Center throughout the past year.

COLUMBUS, Ohio-GREENCREST, a fully integrated marketing agency built to propel small-to mid-size businesses to become distinguished category leaders, is pleased to announce being honored as an Outstanding Corporate Volunteer for its dedication and in-kind donations to New Directions Career Center throughout the past year.

The GREENCREST team worked with New Directions Career Center staff and board to uncover the organization’s brand distinction and unique marketing message to the community. “The message rang through loud and clear,” states GREENCREST president Kelly Borth a certified brand specialist who facilitated the group through the discovery process. “’Lives Get Changed Here’ is the brand position that GREENCREST helped us formulate and nothing could be truer,” adds Linda Danter New Directions Career Center executive director. “It just resonated with us and we knew it the minute it was presented to us.”

In addition to the brand discovery work GREENCREST donated to the Center, the creative agency also outfitted New Direction Career Center with a refreshed organizational identity in honor of its 30th Anniversary year, designed and wrote a new Web site, developed a new agency brochure and graphics for a promotional banner. “We have had so many compliments on everything GREENCREST has done for us,” expressed Danter. “Without the help of the GREENCREST team, we would not have the professional image and targeted branding that is helping us to do a better job of presenting our organization to potential volunteers, funders, board members and potential clients. We will be forever grateful for the major contribution GREENCREST provided to the Center.”

The board and staff of New Directions had a unanimous vote to honor GREENCREST as the recipient of the Outstanding Corporate Volunteer Award. “As we wrap up our current fiscal year, I am convinced that GREENCREST’s work was instrumental in helping us to realize a successful year. At a time when the poor economy had an adverse affect on most nonprofit organizations, we enjoyed one of our best years ever!” adds Danter.

As a young agency, GREENCREST was hired by Danter to assist New Directions Career Center in obtaining greater exposure and market recognition of its work. GREENCREST continued to provide services to the Center even after Danter’s departure. So when Danter and Borth ran into each other at a fundraising event for the Franklin Park Conservatory in 2009, shortly after Danter returned to the Center and stepped into the lead role, the two embraced, met and began discussing how Borth and GREENCREST could help Danter and New Directions Career Center.

“We have grown and matured into a 20-year old business and this was our opportunity to give back to a remarkable and unique career services organization that really does change lives,” explains Borth. “It has been our pleasure to help an organization that stands for something so great and works hard all-year long to enrich people within our community.“

Borth and art director Joanna Osterfeld will accept the award on behalf of the GREENCREST team at the New Directions “Fall Festival” and Annual Meeting at 5:30 p.m. on September 28, 2010 at Dill’s Greenhouse and Nursery in Canal Winchester. “The evening will be hosted by graduates of the Center and will allow GREENCREST to be publicly thanked for all of its efforts put forth,” states Danter.

GREENCREST recently teamed up with the Young Survival Coalition to help fight the war against breast cancer in young women.

GREENCREST’s pro bono work included managing the organization’s ad campaigns, public relations needs and artistic direction for the group’s fundraiser, “In Living Pink”. More than 150 people attended the fundraiser which raised $23,000. Money from the event is slated to go toward planning YANA (You Are Not Alone) social events for Young Survival Coalition members.

“The Young Survival Coalition helps many young women during the toughest time in their life,” said GREENCREST president Kelly Borth. “We thought it was important to donate our resources to tell central Ohioans about the In Living Pink event and the Coalition. We hope there will be more awareness about the effects of breast cancer in young women and ultimately, that a cure will be found for the disease.”

The Young Survival Coalition is the only international, non-profit network of breast cancer survivors and supporters dedicated to the concerns and issues that are unique to young women and breast cancer. Through action, advocacy and awareness, the YSC seeks to educate the medical, research, breast cancer and legislative communities and to persuade them to address breast cancer in women 40 and under. The YSC also serves as a point of contact for young women living with breast cancer. The Central Ohio Chapter was initially formed in 2002 by two young survivors who met at the Annual Conference, and officially affiliated with the YSC in 2005.

GREENCREST is pleased to announce the expansion of its office space.

GREENCREST purchased and renovated the office space in the lower level of the building where its office is currently located. The extension adds approximately 2,500 square feet of space to its office at 120 Northwoods Boulevard, Columbus, Ohio (ZIP Code 43235).

The acquired space provides room for GREENCREST’ growing public relations, creative and account support staff.

Renovations to the offices include enjoining the two spaces, new lighting, custom paint finishes, new carpeting and furniture. Additional features include a new main conference room and expanded lobby area. The lower level will primarily house reception, office management, public relations and accounting. The expansion also offers GREENCREST patrons a private entrance accessible from the building’s lower level.

“The expansion came at the perfect time in terms of the space’s availability and GREENCREST recent growth,” said GREENCREST President Kelly Borth. “As our team grows, the new space will allow us the room we need to continue to serve our clients.”

GREENCREST unveiled its expanded space to eager clients, vendors and friends at an open house held on January 30, 2007.

ConTrak Corporation served as the main contractor on the renovations and expansion. Barbara Ashton of Barbara Ashton Decorative Painting provided the custom painting.
